Cet \u00e9v\u00e8nement a pu avoir lieu gr\u00e2ce au professeur de fran\u00e7ais de Canastota, Diane Traver et au professeur d\u2019anglais de Saint Louis, C\u00e9line Nadal. Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves se sont interview\u00e9s sur leur vie quotidienne dans leurs lyc\u00e9es respectifs, sur leurs plats pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s, ils ont parl\u00e9 de sport et de musique.<br \/>\nLes deux \u00e9tablissements \u00e9taient rentr\u00e9s en contact l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re quand des lyc\u00e9ens, qui \u00e9tudient le fran\u00e7ais au lyc\u00e9e de Canastota, avaient envoy\u00e9s des lettres de soutien aux lyc\u00e9ens fran\u00e7ais de Saint Louis, apr\u00e8s les attaques terroristes du 13 Novembre 2015.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019objectif de cette s\u00e9ance interactive est de mettre les \u00e9l\u00e8ves face \u00e0 des situations de communication authentiques en utilisant des outils num\u00e9riques telle que la visioconf\u00e9rence.<br \/>\nLa collaboration doit se poursuivre par un \u00e9change de lettres, de photos de groupe et de pr\u00e9sentations videos ou diaporamas dans lesquels les \u00e9l\u00e8ves pr\u00e9senteront leur \u00e9tablissements, leurs villes, leurs r\u00e9gions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Skype Helps Canastota Students Connect with French Peers<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1118\" src=\"http:\/\/www.stlouis-orange.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/skype-1-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.stlouis-orange.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/skype-1-300x201.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.stlouis-orange.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/skype-1-272x182.jpg 272w, http:\/\/www.stlouis-orange.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/skype-1.jpg 499w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Canastota high school students who are studying French learned a lot and shared a few things during a chat with their peers in Orange, France during a Skype session!<\/p>\n<p>More than 30 students &#8211; sophomores, juniors and seniors took part in the exchange with a class from St. Louis School. Canastota French teacher Diane Traver and St. Louis English Teacher Madame Nadal facilitated the event. The students learned about the school day in both countries, shared their favorite foods, talked about sports and even asked about dress codes at schools. The schools connected last year, when Canastota French students sent their well wishes to St. Louis School after the terrorist attacks in November 2015. Since then, they groups have exchanged pen pal letters, connected on social media and even shared artwork.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the collaboration is to share information on a global level using \u00a021<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0century skills. The connection will continue as the groups will exchange letters, send group photos and share videos of their towns.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Diane M.
